This 16 point checklist allows you to checkup on your current or prospective financial advisor or investment manager.  The questions focus on compensation, background, costs, and investments.  This will give you some things to consider and think about and help you determine who you should be working with.

If you use a broker (Edward Jones, LPL Financial, Ameriprise, Metlife, Wells Fargo Advisors, Raymond James, just to name a few) take a look at their regulatory history, you may be surprised by what you find.
